Why I listen to toe.

 this band caught me in one of the years when i was 17-19. in a math rock playlist i started listening to everyday. i didnt know how but then i was obsessed with the sounds two moons, and good bye impacted me. then i started listening to the whole discography and now 2025, in an unexpeected twist, going to their concert back in September. 

they sound like what life is. they sound melancholic, uplifting yet melancholic, energizing yet soft  yet raw. they give me a trance-like flow state which is so comfortable. 

i adore how two moons give me a sense of comfort, warmth, simple joys and its gentleness.

when i saw goodbye feat toki asako for the first time i was just stunned by how cathartic humans can be. historically catharsis comes with chaos in an immeadiate snese, like wars, and destruction. int his current era post-covid, humans bottle up emotions and conflicts more and more. maybe it was just me, but. goodbye bestows a sense of release that reimburses you with all the pain individuals go through, signaling goodbye, and the ending of things.

all in all their sound is the definition of hope, release, and purpose.

in terms of techincality, certain sounds are very fun to follow, with grandiose drumming by my favourite member from the band. his drumming is unique to only himself and the band, which provides so much spirit and soul to the band.
